The Gospel of Jesus Christ to the World

Dear Friend,

How many times have you heard someone say, “Time is of the essence?” In II Corinthians 6:2 we read, “Behold, NOW is the accepted time: behold, NOW is the day of SALVATION.” God has made a way so that every man, woman, and child can be assured of eternal life. Now is your time to answer the most important question you will ever encounter: Have you been born again? If not, then you ” cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Jesus said,” Except a man be born, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Later, in John 14:2 Jesus tells his disciples, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

The Bible assures us of heaven, but it also assures us of hell in Revelation 20:15,”And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” God does not want anyone to spend eternity in hell, he is “…not willing that any should perish…” ( II Peter 3:9). In I John 5:13 the Apostle John writes, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life…”

God has provided everything we need to be assured of eternity in heaven with HIM! In Acts 8:30-31, the Bible tells us the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch as he was reading about Jesus from the book of Isaiah, “And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me?…”

This page is designed to “…GUIDE YOU into all truth…”(John 16:13) in hopes that you will choose to be BORN AGAIN, and someday, “see the kingdom of God”. “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God” (Isaiah 59:2). “The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works” (Psalm 145:17). God is unable to tolerate sin because of His holiness-He is completely without any wrong. Sin is totally foreign and alien to God. Many people in this day and age think of sin as some type of crime. But there is a difference-that which is a crime against society, is a sin (offence) against God. The Bible tells us in James 2:10, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” Even if you are a very moral person, the Bible says, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one…For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:10, 23).

– What makes all of us sinners?
“Wherefore, as by one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all man, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

– But I’ve always kept the commandments, isn’t that enough?
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags…” (Isaiah 64:6).

– Some would say, “But I go to my priest to confess my sins.”
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (I Timothy 2:5).

– What is always the end result of sin?
“For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23).
“Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41)

The Bible tells us that hell will be a terrible place, filled with insufferable anguish beyond human comprehension. Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 13:41-42, “The Son of man [Jesus] shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity [sin]; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

-What cleanses us from all sin?
“The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (John 1:17). “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12) In the Old Testament a lamb without spot or blemish was used as a sacrifice to pay for sin. It was the BLOOD of the lamb that cleansed a person from sin. When John the Baptist first saw Jesus Christ he proclaimed,”Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). Jesus Christ was the final and ultimate sacrifice to pay for man’s sin for all eternity.

-Is there any other payment for sin?
“And without shedding of blood is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22).

-Will being a good person pay for sin?
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9).”

– Why did Jesus give his life for you?
“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:17).

– Is Jesus the only way to salvation?
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

– What is the greatest love of all?
“Greater love hath no man that this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).

– Is God ‘s love for everyone?
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

– What are God’s conditions for having everlasting life?
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).

– Does Jesus ever turn anyone away?
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out ” (John 6:37). The Bible tells us in II Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” When a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, they are spiritually BORN AGAIN and become a member of God’s family, “But as many as received him [Jesus], to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12).

There are four steps necessary for you to become BORN AGAIN. Each step is very important, and though they may seem to happen simultaneously, they are listed separately so you can better understand them.

YOU MUST REPENT
To repent is to express sorrow for something that is past-in this case, your sin, “For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation…”(II Corinthians 7:10). You must acknowledge before God that you are a sinner and deserve nothing better than hell. Repentance is also a SINCERE turning away from sin towards God, “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts” (Proverbs 21:2).

YOU MUST BELIEVE
Believing in Jesus Christ is more than just believing he exists. The Bible tells us, “the devils also believe, and tremble” (James 2:19). Truly believing is placing your full confidence in HIM to save you from your sin. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). You must believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he died on the cross to save you from your sin. “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE IN THINE HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. FOR WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS…” (Romans 10:9,10).

YOU MUST ASK
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). To call upon the Lord is to request or appeal to Christ to forgive your sin and save you from eternity in hell. You must pray and ASK Jesus to do these things,”…AND WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION” (Romans 10:10).

YOU MUST RECEIVE
To receive something you must take it as a thing offered or sent. Salvation is a free gift of God, “For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT OF GOD, is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT OF GOD” (Ephesians 2:8). But like any gift, it is not yours until you take it, or receive it, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). You must pray and tell the Lord that you wish to receive his wonderful gift eternal life! The Bible tells us that we must make a CHOICE: to serve God, or to reject God. Joshua 24:14-15 reads, “Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth…And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YE WILL SERVE…” You have come to the place in your life where you must now choose to accept or reject Jesus Christ the Lord. If you choose to accept his payment for your sin, then simply bow your head and pray. Tell Jesus, in your own words, that you are sorry for sin and ask him to forgive you and save you from hell. Tell him you are willing to receive him as your Lord and Savior, and you would like to accept his gift of eternal life. Remember, Jesus Christ never turns anyone away, “But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil” (Proverbs 1:33).
